Each student will give a presentation during the quarter, and the presentation will account for 30% of the course grade. The presentations will be done in group, but each member of the group will be graded separately. Depending on the length and the complexity of the paper, a group may have between one to four members, and each member must present at least 30 minutes.

It is your responsibility to divide the work load evenly among the group members. In particular, members who contribute less will receive lower grades.

And here are some of the things I'll look for in each presenter:

• Understanding of the paper (the whole paper, not just the part you present).
• The ability to explain complex concepts and/or algorithms.
• Use of examples.
• Presentation skills, i.e. the way you stand, talk, answer questions, and interact with the audience.
• Time management.
